December New Moon Scopes

Happy Christmas peoples, but more's the point happy new Moon. Expect a happy, energised day, keep it light, keep it fun. Keep it breathing. Not sure what you're going to do with the kids who'll be up at sparrow's. They will be extra excited and you may as well be too.

The New Moon 25/12/2011 at 5.06am--sharp. That's Australian Eastern Standard Daylight Savings Time. AEDST or UTC+11.

CAPRICORN
A power-packed annual new Moon today for Celestial goats as the early morning new Moon conjoins with Pluto by the afternoon.  Expect a charge of sorts.  You don’t need me to tell you that Christmas day can have its difficulties, but this one is the ‘nicest’ Christmas vibe we’ve had for quite a while.  This is as you know, not the day to force the issue, or make bold statements and besides you’re probably feeling very much more like staying schtumm about what you see unfolding around you.  Very wise.  Mercury is still in your 12th house and staying schtumm has been easy for you almost habitual, of late, but this too will pass.  This last new Moon of the year really does symbolise the closing of one door and the opening of another.

Keep things light and breezy today and for the month ahead. People will be looking to you for guidance, sensing your inner resources are being enriched, even though you are a little more ponderous, slightly unsettled but still able to smile, keep it together and play your part as a wise and powerful peace-keeper.  Tomorrow Jupiter direct, the pressure of Xmas suddenly over—you can really relax and have some fun.  On Friday the Sun joins Pluto—powerful energies being illuminated for us all and by the full moon Mercury moves into Capricorn and you can really start communicating and articulating some of the insights you’ve had over the last two months, easily, happily and naturally.

AQUARIUS
One last reflective look back before your annual new moon next month.  The Neptunian fog is beginning to thin considerably and for the first time in a long time you can see a future world in which you very much belong.  Christmas can bring out the complete dill in people, some reverting to infantile behaviour—grown adults throwing tantrums, stressing out about who did what to whom etc (yawn), while you at this time of year with the Sun in your 12th house seem always elsewhere otherworldly, watching the shenanigans, twice removed.  This year is not so different although the madder may seem more manic and you and others like you may have decided to opt entirely out of the whole debacle and go very low key.

However, should you find yourself in the thick of it today with friends and family you will not be looking nor necessarily feeling your usual infamous aloofy self.  Communications will flow easily as others respond to you vibing charismatic charm and grace.  Any misgivings you have about the level of twatdom in the species you’ll be able to keep to yourself, filing away, with no inner conflict about whether you’re being entirely honest.  Neptune has given you some salutary lessons about when and in what situations it is wisest to simply STFU. Take the energies Venus is offering you to lighten up, to help out others with Neptunian compassion tinged insights and a chance to express your love.  If you find yourself alone, you will be in good company.  Enjoy the view. Do a little dance.  It’s very exciting this new feeling.

PISCES

There was a time in the not too distant past, when your Aquarian friends were giving you ideas about compassion and mysticism and you were encouraging Aquarian friends to be more Uranian. You each swapped the other’s ruler. I.e., your ruler Neptune was in Aquarius (and still is –just) and Aquarius’ ruler Uranus was in Pisces.  All seems to have gone eerily quiet of late.  The Aquarian in you has lived or acted out it’s influence and it now seems a bit old hat as waiting in the wings is the biggest most mystical element in your life.  These last weeks and days of Neptune in Aquarius are giving Pisceans a sense of excitement twinged with a little foreboding about their role ahead.  And there’s a reason for that.

Christmas is a time of year you tend to glide through in your relations with the world at large, fairly easily. This time of year the Sun is transiting your 11th house and you lot become the sympathetic grease on the wheels effortlessly (oh if they only knew!) smoothing over other people’s sometimes testy behaviours. Your compassionate nature manifests for all the world to see and use on a day that is often fraught with acute feelings of loneliness and suffering. It would be better, wouldn’t it, if Xmas day was not quite so hyped into being the be-all and end of all of, what? The retail year?

Today’s new moon in your eleventh house is reminding you of all learnt about being Aquarian-like when Uranus transited Pisces.  A reminder that conformity has incredible downsides in a time when the lowest common denominator is pretty low and pretty cruel.  Take any upswing in your public persona and an increase in your gravitas, and take notice of who appears more in your life.  Take yourself seriously, everybody else is.  Pisceans have their work cut out for them doing what they most dearly love to be. Yes you read that correctly.

ARIES
You’ve got about a fortnight before that pesky planet Mercury, who kept us all more or less marking time this month, comes barrelling through your 10th house to join the Sun and Pluto.  Christmas can sometimes feel like a spanner in the works when you’ve got so much going on, on all fronts.  But things not going to plan, the annual silly season, are all part and parcel of the human’s lot in life.  Your’s were good stars last month and they’re good stars this month, they’re just a little more urgent this time ‘round. Uranus has gone direct at 0 deg of Aries encouraging radical transformation if not quite a bolt of lightening to all the things you identify as being you.  It’s quite a deal of energy to channel responsibly sans carnage.  Mars in Virgo is your friend.  He’s in your 6th house, i.e, Virgo’s turf, you can score many added Brownie points for the things Virgoan in you.

The Christmas day new moon is in your 10th house, it is supercharged by Pluto.  Things you have always wanted may well come to pass with the resources you have going for you.  Bloody great stars for an Aries really.  Lucky you. Be very careful, suck in new information, look left and right when crossing the road etc. Remember Virgo.

TAURUS
A Christmas day new moon in your 9th house of broadening horizons, distant travel, philosophy and higher thoughts, will tend you towards a reflective time.  But with the promise of a bigger more expansive future based on bona fide insights gleaned and new more relevant information at hand you also have a new found freedom.  This year you’ve been able to throw off the shackles that restrained you from broadening your scope.  Your career has seemed nebulous at times and at other times, not terribly real in terms of who you are becoming.  All this murkiness, turgidity about what you do as defining who you are is something slipping from your grasp—you happily let it go to make way for a more authentic, reinvigorated version of yourself   Your health is firmly back under your control and you have loads of energy and motivation to develop an approach to health and fitness that will serve you for years to come.  Jupiter direct tomorrow, the silly season in full swing, use this time to get into the backyard with the kids for fun and games and to charm and beguile the elders hanging back behind the barbie.  Keep your eyes trained towards the horizon for a calling of sorts and the freedom that new knowledge can bring.

GEMINI
A reflective Gemini, seeking out foundations with vigour and a heightened sense of compassion for others, acutely aware that there are many hidden dimensions to life.  What are we to make of Geminis of late? Let’s break it down and divide in two . Ok let’s not.  A Christmas day new moon in your 8th house of secrets, death, sex, taxes, shared resources and psychic experiences just about covers the gamut of the mysterious world our friend the Gemini is traversing.  Christmas encourages you to find more meaning and this one’s supercharged.  Everyone’s getting a dose of the Uranian, it appears to be what’s needed.  Uranus direct in your 11th house, is most auspicious and Jupiter is direct tomorrow in your 12th.  These planets speak about someone whose inner core is changing. Who is no fool, and who is being charged with a secret, succeeding streak of universal love.  Yeah. Really.  Hold fast that sense of purpose you now have.  Write down what you now know and remember where you are in life and where you want to be in say 10 year’s time. The clarity you have now is a gift to remember. Your Xmas present to yourself 2011.  A gift that in five year’s time will still be ‘giving’.

CANCER
Business partnerships, those to whom you’re close and like and those to whom you’re close and maybe not so enamoured are in the spotlight warts and all at this time of year and with December’s new Moon these associations are strengthened and renewed where worth it or given one last going over before being assigned to the never to be revisited/lessons learnt/too hard basket. Not that you have failed in any way if you know you really must give up on something you once held dear.   You have been doing the hard yards in relation to brutal realisations of both more impersonal partnerships and the strange and intimate entanglements that can snare us below the surface.  Tomorrow you will feel 100% better about the way in which you can cruisily and joyfully glide about within and throughout your social sphere.  You too are a revolutionary and your role in the unfolding drama that is life on earth is instrumental to how the business-side will work. Odd out of left field ideas of an entrepreneurial bent should be noted down and taken seriously. It is the season to be silly though.  Big sigh.  Stick with the health plan and continue with the winnowing.  It’s only a day.

LEO
A very do-able line-up of stars for today and the month ahead.  Zoom, zoom, munch, munch. I don’t think there’s much to get deep and meaningful about.  The facts are that the Sun and a new Moon both illuminating Pluto are charging up your house of work and service, health and hygiene and Mars angling around for a long ride through your 2nd house, is providing the requisite energy for doing this—not to forget, by any stretch, Jupiter going ‘direct’ tomorrow in your house of pubic office.  Venus gracing  your 7th your house of nearest and dearest is helping to make things sweet.  Leo’s need only be there lovely Leonine selves.  Getting your infamous, magnificent pride back again and feeling tip-top about it, feels so good.  Let’s just call it divine dignity instead, wrought through some humble-ments. Happy days ahead Leo.  You are needed and you are loved.

VIRGO
Are you exhausted yet?  Because we all are.   Geebus seven more months to go of this Mars in Virgo business. Seven more long months—watch them fly.  Really if you haven’t already, it’s time to get a plan.  This is a long haul of Martian energy at your disposal—for all of us, and to go the distance you’ll need a sound plan. You could find yourself reflected in the eyes of someone out-Virgoing you. Take the pointers.  We’re all at it and you’ve got the ultimate in streamlined nit-pickery/go-back-and-do-it-again-Saturn in your second house, more or less putting the brakes on your wilder schemes to reorganise the planet and making sure you do it wisely.  A good thing. The month ahead from today reminds the Virgo to get out and have some fun—explore the hills, go on adventures, you know the saying all work and no play makes Virgo’s really bloody annoying.  You’re never dull so no fear of that, always a mystery, but remember to ease up and take the time to relax in the months ahead, starting now.

Working out whatever it is that you ideally should be doing, turning your daily life into gold is getting clearer by the day.  Pity this Martian energy can’t be bottled for *Ron. Nobody’s going to blame you or despair of your energy now, you won’t let them anyway you wont be going awry –just off.

LIBRA
With Saturn hanging around in Libra and Mars next door in Virgo this Christmas day new Moon will boost along the psychological revelations and subsequent changes many a lovely Libran has been undergoing.  The Sun in Capricorn and today’s new Moon will in a few days time throw more light onto what particular types of foundations you’re being asked to re-examine. Venus in your 5th house is helping Librans take some festive joy into their hearts, so remind yourself to keep things light and breezy in all your interactions.  You may feel a little cut-off or isolated, your unconscious is processing a veritable oversupply of ‘home truths’ but they’re not of a nature to be easily articulated.  Saturn is there to help not hinder and to make sure you get it right.  You will be at ease communicating in your usual charming way, but now is not the time for bolshevist tendencies or trying to make sense of what you’re going through to anyone else. They sort of understand anyway. Go easy on yourself and trust that you will get it right on all levels.  But as the mystics say don’t mix your levels as they do not make sense to one another—yet.  The first half of this year is about making preparations, getting your house in order.  Get back to basics. Develop some practise you can do alone, that grounds you.  There has never been a better time to take up walking and meditating.

SCORPIO
Getting together with people who can further your aims is something of a theme for the coming months.  What indeed those aims might be is a question you’ll have to ask yourself.  Good that your bullshit detector is on high alert.  You will be feeling as sociable and chatty as any Scorpio can, all the while assessing who can help you get what you want and who is of no use whatsoever.  This sounds rather clinical and fairly self-centred but actually for you nothing now could be further from the truth.  You have energy galore to channel into-- let’s call them in the broadest sense ‘public works’.  With Uranus in Aries, for Scorpio Suns and risings you feel you can make a brilliant contribution.  Just what though, it’s too soon to tell. What you can tell now is who are contenders for the ride and who will help and who will hinder. Venus graces your home life and foundations of your life, adding mystique and loads of charisma to an area of your chart that Neptune has been radicalising.  Some things have faded into the fog and others are there to stay with you for the long haul.  It’s been a trip, a restructuring trip. Take refuge if you need to in the beauty and safety of your domestic sphere and if that’s not possible dive into the beauty and exciting, wised-up old soul within.

SAGITTARIUS
Uranus direct in Aries a couple of weeks ago, Jupiter direct today or early tomorrow, Mercury direct (at last) and still in your 1st House and a new Moon in your 2nd, I dunno Sag you could be accused of being too bloody buoyant for words.  Sagittarius rushes in where angels fear to tread? Well just hold that thought, take a few deep breaths and a reality check.  Ok. GO. Far be it for me to rain on your parade, no come back, it really is a case of all systems go.  So where’s Saturn?  Wherever Saturn is in your chart is the area where a foot flat to boards and the chance you could be just a tad too incorrigible for words will apply the brakes.  Watch for foot in mouth this festive season because you could make some almost unforgiveable faux pas with the rellies.  We’re all on the brink of a new age of sorts when Neptune moves house, aside from what on earth could happen with Aries in charge of Uranus. Some are feeling a little nebulous about so much rampaging change. You can’t afford to alienate anyone with a careless, carefree remark.  Today though you’re in the clear just be a little sensitive to those more worried, fretful souls.

*Australian colloquialism  'Ron' meaning later on
