| First Light by Arjan Veen (Daluth Ship Canal, Lake Superior, Minnesota) |
New moon tomorrow morning 5:06am (AEDST) minutes before first-light, half an hour or so before sunrise. A good time to think and an excellent time to shunt demons. [sigh] Next.
For today or tomorrow (depends) is indelibly printed on our Christian orientated western minds as being some 'big thing' type of day. When we spend time with family (which we should probably be doing more than once a year anyway) stuff our faces with glorious food, and buy each other presents. Really it should be a day when the 'grown ups' grow up I think. It just feels a tad pointless to me, just a little meaningless. But that's just me.
I will know it's first light, because where I'm sleeping takes in the sights and sounds of first-light spectacularly.
I like the 'vibe' of Christmas day and I tank teh great and good Lordy above that I am free of having anything much to do wiv it, and can go and hide in a hut in a paddock and look at the stars. Which, that reminds me, I've taken not inconsiderable time to 'work out' of myself for your lighthearted amusement at first light-tomorrow
