Moon overload.

December 2011 Full Moon Eclipse. by Link.

It was a big Moon--the eclipse Moon in December.  Seems like a long time ago, now . . .  Followed by a slightly weirded-out Xmas Day new Moon and then a big full-on Cancer Moon.

Man, I am moooned out.

New Moon on 23rd,  in Aquarius!  But I won't consider my year to have started until the new Moon in Aries.  Which should be a beaut too, as it really wakes Uranus up in Aries.

Gurdjieff had interesting things to say about the Moon

Everything living on the Earth, people, animals, plants, is food for the moon…. All movements, actions, and manifestations of people, animals, and plants depend upon the moon and are controlled by the moon…. The mechanical part of our life depends upon the moon, is subject to the moon. If we develop in ourselves consciousness and will, and subject our mechanical life and all our mechanical manifestations to them, we shall escape from the power of the moon.      — G. I. Gurdjieff

Food for the Moon huh?

It's an interesting quote to find for me, as I was just thinking how to escape its influence.  It's almost, all-pervading.

Paramahansa Yogananda said you could protect yourself from astrological influences with something he called an 'Astrology Bangle' or a two carat stone.  If you have set yourself a trajectory in life and beyond and didn't want to be deflected by astrological storms you could protect yourself with these amulets.

Or, if a Gurdjieffen, 'it' can try and stop behaving like a machine and wake up--somewhat

There are definitely drawbacks to having an organic body.  But apparently it's very much easier to transform your inner-self, with one, while you can.
