Transit of Neptune, 1998-2012 by Sign.

 ♈ Aries

Neptune has been transiting your 11th house and in some ways this transit of Neptune through the 11th house (i.e., the house ruled by Aquarius), has made your experience of Neptune, common for us all.  Take all you've learnt about group dynamics, false friends and true, wild schemes and deception into a new era where compassion, empathy and finding common connection with others based on similarities of heart and mind becomes your focus.  Forget about false friends lost, you’ve got other fish to fry. It’s pretty clear what’s been happening a flurry of connections, some will remain and other’s will drop out. That’s what happens.

Taurus

Neptune in your 10th house has possibly made your career seem 'unreal'.   Unreal in a good way and unreal in maybe not such a good way.  The 10th house rules your career, authority figures and your goals in life.  The last fifteen years or so may have been a time of confusion about where you are going in your 'public/professional life'.  You may have changed direction completely and probably any change has been for the better.  It's become important to you that what you do is at the least an adequate expression of who you are, but it's useful to remember that you are not defined by what you do.  How you do what you do is probably a more accurate indication of who you are.  You will gain esteem by being always impelled to do things from a higher place within yourself.

Gemini

The world of your mind has been greatly expanded by Neptune's transit of your 9th house.  Ideas about spirituality and higher levels of consciousness have been there for the taking.  Whether you've been actively searching them out or not, they have been filtering through to you and in an osmotic way changing the way you view the world. You are a communicator and spreading these new ideas has been something you enjoyed.  You are not your ideas however.  What have you learnt since 1998 that has stayed with you, that has really touched your soul, that you have not been able to communicate so easily?  This is what to apply to yourself.

Cancer

Neptune's transit through your 8th house of jointly held resources, death, sex and taxes has been a bit of an ambiguous time for you if not a tad demoralising at times.  How people operate in business, their sometimes dubious motivations,  sudden losses of people, money, business connections and perhaps an occasional and welcome windfall has opened your eyes to the hidden machinations that motivate people.  It has not been all good for you Cancer.  But you are far wiser than you were when Neptune first entered Aquarius.  Known for your entrepreneurial genius, Neptune's transit of Aquarius has shown you how and where you are likely to get burnt by things you could not have understood or seen the truth of at the time.  Trust your intuition as you've always done because now you know you need to act on it and that self-delusion is a game for schmucks.

Leo

What is wrong with everybody?  I have no idea if the inimitable Ms Pants is a Leo, but the title of her blog is both gorgeous and a perfect sound byte for our friend the Leo whose had Neptune transiting his 7th House of Marriage, partnerships, open friends and enemies. Neptune confuses but he also gives deep insights.  Maybe close relationships have gone a bit awry for you. Deception in marriage, the break down of relationships.  You've gained insights into how good relationships can work and how bad ones often had their foundations on misunderstanding and duplicity.  Time to move on. You probably now have a much better idea of what you hope is true of someone and what is actually true of them.  Onward Leo.  It's been a trip alright.

Virgo

Firstly, heart-felt congratulations to all Virgos who have taken up working to help the aged, infirm, and the rattier elements of our society.  I am lucky to know one personally.  Not the most glamorous years for you.  But wow what you’ve learnt. I can see a common theme here about ‘learning’.  Neptune in YOUR sixth house has revolutionised your approach to yourself, your diet your lifestyle and what you once believed and what you now believe.  You are as elemental now as you’ve ever been, although you’re a bit broader in scope and while you’ve seen things you’d rather not have known about, witnessing the messiness of other people first hand has made you much all the more human.

Libra

Neptune’s transit through your 5th house has touched on things quite abstract to you personally, but you have sought out the highest in everything you’ve touched and strived for. There is a good and a bad and we know of one because we understand the other. You have sought out the best in everyone and every situation.  You have really tried--ever hopeful.  But people will be people, good and bad, they do not live up to our projected ideals.  Ideals are there because they are already partially formed and the level of reality that can welcome them will be their realisation. If there is nowhere real for ideals to take hold, they remain ideal only.  What is ideal to one is not ideal to another, yes, but Neptune goes way, way beyond subjective concerns.  You know there is great good out there.  The world needs your fine sense of quality and truth.

♏ Scorpio

Where are you again? Have you been moving a bit this past d e c a d e and a half Scorp?  Never a dull moment eh?  If there’s one thing about living in a load of old dwellings, you get to know what kind of house you’d live in if you could.  Neptune’s transit of your fourth house has affected everything ‘four-ish’ in nature which often though somewhat unimaginatively translates to these four walls—should you be so lucky to live within them, to what’s within the four walls i.e., (the others) and reduces, all the way back to that tiny speck of consciousness buried deep within your being.  You too are a house of sorts and you have probably been rummaging around down there finding all sorts of interesting stuff at the core of your being you never knew existed.  You already well know what you want in this area, Neptune into Pisces, a fellow water buddy, is going to make it easier to get there.

Sagittarius
How you communicate to the world has been a source of not quite obsession but something close—a personally applied keen interest of yours, as you’ve discovered just how strongly communications effects every human transaction.  It’s been very revealing just how much our communications with others can impact upon our lives and why it does so.  The brashness of the big telcos-- all talk and sod-all delivery, communication has been an issue for us all. You have a much better understanding now then once you did for what motivates people to say one thing and mean another and hopefully now you can actually see when they’re doing it. Neptune has rendered you pretty well propaganda proof, if not a little mute.

Capricorn

Neptune has been transiting your second house of stuff. The stuff you put out there and the stuff you identify with as being your own.  If he’s done a good job you now have a much more easy-come easy-go mentality towards your belongings or much of them. You may have learnt this the very hard way.  I.e, you now have no belongings and there’s nothing for it other than to be philosophical about ‘things’.  It’s all just ‘stuff’ and as they say and quite rightly so, you can’t take it with you.  Sure a lot of it’s fun and some of the latest stuff has been pretty fun to use and God knows, there’s been an awful lot of pressure to have loads of it. Marketing pressure however is not very ‘real’, we all know we need not yield to it. Despite the business councils’ best efforts to convince us the sky will fall if we don’t consume this isn’t going to happen.  Life is not about the things in life (and no, I’m not going to say something cheesy and say ‘it’s all about the people’.  It’s about your relationship to yourself.

 ♒ Aquarius

Not knowing who you are is a difficult predicament, especially when people are making inquiries.  It’s not good enough simply being who they want you to be, or who you think they want you to be.  How long can you keep this up anyway?  It can be done obviously, the all-things-to-all-people gig, but it’s not very ‘you’.  Maybe more than learning who you are during the transit of Neptune it’s been about discovering who you most definitely are not.  It’s fun pretending to be something you’re not.  You learn a lot about empathy.  In 2002 I learnt to lower my tone of voice and speak more sweetly and softly. It was not me, but I got a better response from the hundreds of people I was interviewing at the time. I was incredulous.  Why can’t they just accept me and my tone of voice, for what it is? Why are they so sucked in if I pretend to be something other than what I am? It seemed dishonest and I think it was, but it’s perfectly acceptable in an upside down world where saying one thing and doing another is widely agreed upon to be least, economically expedient.  Everyone is madder than you Aquarius. You now know this. Heh.

Pisces

Neptune in the 12th House probably hasn’t been all that bad for you guys.  You just swam a little deeper perhaps, more than ever convinced that wherever it was you were swimming to seemed to be getting further out of reach or trending deeper.  I’d say for some Pisces it’s been a bit of a solitary trip for the soul.  Up on top, the world‘s gone to war, it’s been safer and a lot quieter under the waves in your element.   Neptune has been giving you a taste of all that is down there in the unconscious and what can be rescued from it’s depths. A reconnaissance mission, preparing you for his transit of your First House, when you get to actually apply what you’ve learned in the hard, bouncy world of terra firma and reinvent yourself ad infinitum, safe because we’ll all have sympathy for Neptunian/Piscean ideals.
