New Moon Horoscopes for December 2012.

It is no sign of health to be well-adjusted to a profoundly sick society--Krishnamurti.

And so those of us who want to get through in one piece, or preferably more integrated with our own being must under these skies become a bit like the young lass above (and her pony). Total trust, total commitment, total focus and skill and the willingness to hone one’s skills.

This new Moon in 'outward' bound Sagittarius is the last of the year and the one that packs the most punch. Notice as apparent affirmation of the significance of this new Moon, Uranus stations direct a few hours later.

There is a veritable cluster-fuq of asteroids and centaurs all hanging around the Sun as it and the Moon conjunct to bring about the Moon's rebirth in Sagittarius.

As I just heard centaur expert Eric Francis say on his broadcast Planet Waves, Pholus conjunct Ixion at 19º Sagg, is one of the less attractive aspects of the sky, throw in Okyrhoe also at 19º a great leap in entirely the wrong direction is also a distinct possibility. You be the judge with which way you take your life under this sky.

Here is the chart for the new Moon from the lovely Serennu. Sagittarius is the jam-packed house at roughly 1'clock. Really, jam-packed and a lot of it at around 19ª-22º of Sagittarius.

There is literally something for everyone this new Moon in the house of Sagittarius alone, let alone the other aspects in the sky—such as:

Saturn and Pluto at 8º of Scorpio and Capricorn respectively, forming a 60º separation (sextile) 'talking' as it were. Bearing in mind that these two are in mutual reception-- (Saturn rules Capricorn, Pluto rules Scorpio). They will both form an inconjunct or quincunx (150º separation) to Jupiter way over in Gemini (currently more or less conjunct Lilith) forming what is known of as a Yod or more prosaically the Finger of God. We can look forward to Jupiter stationing direct at the end of January and for this Yod to really start to work it's somewhat awkward magic.

Wherever Jupiter is in your chart, for the next six months of next year, there lies your gold. But to get the gold you need to work this sextile get the houses where Saturn and Pluto are to work.

Truth in an objective sense, which both Pluto and Saturn insist upon, must be the basis of expanding communications. Not the complete blather and bullshit of Fox News or the media vacuum that is the Village Roadshow entertainment conglomerate. It's a great blueprint this cosmic line up, but like the trick rider above, it requires a certain amount of dedication and skill to 'work' it. You need to have your wits about you and have the skills to take risks.   Anything out of control is well . . . out of control and at the moment very dangerous.



Aries ♈

I wouldn’t doubt you are well aware of the powerful presence of Uranus in your life as the element of the completely unexpected adds to your overall feelings of excitement. Uranus stations direct in Aries at 4º today while the Moon renews herself in Sagittarius your solar 9th house of higher learning and broadening horizons. The cosmos calls on you this new Moon to renew or make a commitment to an all-encompassing philosophy, one that discriminates. We are in some ways being forced to stand for what we believe in and what we know is true and just. With an encompassing resolve to broaden your knowledge base and experience of the world at large, you cannot go wrong and are fit to follow. 



Taurus ♉

The discomfort that others make you feel is what you are being asked to reconsider this new Moon. It’s not that your friends reflecting back to you some painful truths are necessarily right, but that you will be aware that these things will not rest in your being, until you have reconciled them. This new Moon in your 8th house of mysteries, suggests a new approach to shared wealth, death and taxes. We only borrow our shekels for a time, so in a sense we are sharing them with other’s on the planet. Uranus stationing direct in your 12th house will help you better understand the ways of the world in moments of unexpected clarity whilst daydreaming, listening to music and/or thinking about something else entirely. A new moon in the sign of Sagittarius, the philosopher is a trigger to consider your approach to your shekels.



Gemini ♊

With Jupiter being at the pointy end of the yod that is forming between Saturn and Pluto in 60º aspect to one another (in mutual reception) and the awkward inconjunct of 150º to Jupiter across the ways in Gemini, this new Moon in opposing sign Sagg, seems to really amp up the pressure on you. As this new Moon is in your solar 7th house, that pressure is probably being felt with a plethora of issues arising within your close partnerships. When this Yod starts to activate, you, Gemini, will be the focus point, the finger of god of the yod points to Jupiter the Great benefic in Gemini, currently 1º away of Lilith. (Tip: Become a feminist, which is to be a humanist ASAP.) ( No need to be militant, just mindful). You can benefit enormously from this aspect as you are in a sense the focus to so much. New Moons are a chance to refresh the page in the light of what you now know. Clear the space by refining its energy. Refine energies by concentrating them. With Juno at the tail end of a long transit of your solar 7th you are coming to the end of an intense relationship cycle which can go either way with commitment. You will know which way when Juno crosses into Cap.



Cancer ♋

If you are Australian, you are undoubtedly going to groan about what I am about to remind you about with regard to an advertising jingle we are being subjected to without mercy. Status Quo’s Down Down, Deeper Down* w a s  a great song of the seventies which cynical marketeers have 'bought' in order to conflate in our minds forever more, a catchy rock riff with a bloody evil one of only two supermarket.  (God spare us).  The lyrics may sound dark but the song itself is completely upbeat. Which is why it reminded me of you. Enormous reserves of just about anything you can think of are there for the taking Cancer. Pick and choose what you need to make your life a raging success (whatever that means to you) because resources for it are in abundance. Money and work opportunities and the wherewithal to pull them off --in abundance. You are on a mission and perhaps you surprise yourself lately with what you are capable of. This new Moon is deep breathing time. It’s the annual resolve to live more fully alive in the everyday world.  Breathe in.  Breathe out.  Now rest, now sleep, now eat.  Now it's hi ho, hi ho, off to work I go. I can dig this for a while . . . . Knock ‘em dead kid. (figure of speech). The moon is waxing into a Xmas Cancer full Moon-- nice one mate.



Leo ♌

This is a Christmas to remember for too many reasons to itemise. The New moon in your house of fun, adventure, romance, escapade and creativity is a recharge to keep you powering on. Fuel for all this activity comes on in-full as Uranus stations direct in your house of the higher mind. Why you are so full of courage determination and resolve suddenly becomes clear.  Information from unlikely sources heads your way on Thursday. The new Moon in fellow fire sign, philosopher/archer/ Sagittarius is an easy inflow of all the best that this sign has to offer and you can dearly relate, knowledge, wisdom, questing, pushing boundaries, riding out after. Keep a wildly swinging mood pendulum in check by taking the time to remember the inverse opposite of any particular mood. Ala Kipling’s Meet with triumph and disaster and treat those two impostors just the same.



Virgo ♍

The upcoming yod, I mentioned in the introduction points to your 10th house. Where Jupiter—retrograde, lies  from our point of view, dormant. The sextile between Saturn in your 3rd to Pluto in your 5th house creates an opportunity for an easy interchange of energies between your 3rd house of (communications, neighbours, thinking and siblings) with Pluto in your 5th house of (children, adventures, lover and creative expression). Pluto is likely to have been making this area of your life a tad chaotic of late, but now Saturn moves into position to inform, order and make more effective the churnover job Pluto is doing here.  This is a good thing. In the meantime, the Sagg New Moon in your 4th house, brings it all back to  your home-life which at the moment is applying pressure to how you run your public/career life. Home whether real or metaphysical is where the lessons and information for your growth lies. This is the earthed, wised-up Virgo who knows that sometimes retreat to the sanctuary of home provides the best way forward in mind and body.



Libra ♎

Mercury’s move out of your 2nd house of cash and belongings, eases up the pressure on this part of your life as this new Moon in your house of communication and your immediate environment of relatives and neighbours becomes the focus of your attention. Scorpio ♏

Knowing and appreciating yourself Scorpio, is how you work the sextile between Saturn in your own sign and Pluto in your solar 3rd house. Saturn and Pluto don’t often get the chance to form such an agreeable aspect, so you can be fairly confident that your ruler Pluto, and your current sponsor planet Saturn in mutual reception are  making such a friendly apect pretty much specifically or maybe poignantly for your benefit. A knowledge of self and how that self thinks and interacts with the external everyday world is information you need. The pressure will ease of your own self-consciousness, with the current plethora of asteroids, centaurs and planets in Sagittarius forcing you to focus on your finances and resources. You might be working for the benefit of succeeding generations, intentionally or not. You might be working alongside a spouse, (Hmm Same as it ever was,) but keeping a weather eye on the shekels probably preoccupies you at this time of year. Sagittarius ♐

Shall I list the points and bodies in Sagittarius to drive my point home? Have a look at this chart. Sagg is at roughly at 1’oclock. A veritable pile-up huh? And possibly the reasons for you feeling all at sea on an infinite ocean of possibilities, in fine weather and foul in recent weeks/months, on top of Saturn’s move into your ‘soul’ sector and Mercury hanging around interminably there. But now all of sudden, it seems, Christmas is upon us as is your annual new Moon. The rare sextile between Saturn and Pluto, (Saturn in your 12th house and Pluto in your 2nd) suggests something quite odd in terms of how you get your 12th house energies—Saturnised to materialise in a Pluto dominated second house of cash and resources.  It sounds a bit tumultuous but the potentiality of turning your inmost into a dollar-making-reality that serves a wider good is well . . . there. To do this you are going to need support. You are going to want support. This new moon is a great time to renew your image, and realise the multitudinous ways in which you can potentially affect change.



Capricorn ♑

Charge on in private Capricorn. Try to work on your own until Mars gets into Aquarius after Christmas. Enjoy the added charisma Venus offers, but frankly you’ve no time for idiots and f-tards this Christmas, which possibly discounts most of your immediate family. Oooh did I say that? How heretical. Raspberries to that. Should the world not end on the 21st,before your next birthday, it will behove you to work that sextile between Saturn in your house of bloomy ‘friends’ and Pluto in your own sign, slowly, going through every loose screw in your being. There is a reciprocity here and it has a lot to do with your own self-respect and the gradual dawning that some of your associates do not actually enhance it. This new Moon try to find some quiet time for private contemplation.


Aquarius ♒

Christmas and ensuing contacts or the acute awareness of a lack of them, intervenes between your work and your need to sound the retreat and get some down-time. Enjoy this diversion and use this new Moon to freshen up your approach to friends and groups and reconsider the aims of your recent labours on a more cosmic scale. The sextile between Saturn and Pluto—between your 10th and 12th house indicates how these two houses will connect—harmoniously and how they can inform one another. Saturn in our public life/career house and Pluto in your soul sector, it makes for an interesting connection with many possibilities for a two way conversation. Uranus stations direct today in your house of communications but you will have to wait until Mars moves into Aquarius before you really start to quietly make strong advances. There is a great deal more than meets the eye happening in the house where this new Moon occurs, a great deal of competing forces, difficult to reduce to a pithy one-liner, safe to say that other people are influencing you in a multitude of ways. Pray to flush the truly useful ones out into your sphere of experience. Love, ever in mind, will be fulfilled. But first there is work to do.


Pisces ♓

Mercury in Sagittarius makes a square to Chiron by the end of the weekend. This square occurs between your 10th and 1st house. Something with how you are communicating in your career, perhaps to colleagues or conversely how they are communicating back to you, hurts –frankly. There may be tears over the weekend, but tears wherever Chiron is concerned are invariably the gushings of deeply held hurts and the tears help it spill out and heal. Such pain may be exquisite in its seemingly personal pointedness, but it passes quickly when you realise it and let the floodgates open. I open your horoscope with this piece of information because this new Moon in Sagittarius is somewhat loaded and as it occurs in your house of career you maybe fooled into thinking this new Moon represents some sort of high water mark in your public life. This ain’t necessarily so. What it does give you of course, as new Moon always do is the opportunity for fresh resolve and a fresh approach. But the opportunities in this part of your life at the moment are too great to cite. It’s a wait and see New Moon, it’s a new Moon for the vigilant. Uranus stationing direct in your house of cash means sudden and unexpected windfalls and losses are back on the cards. It’s very difficult to firm up your finances with Uranus’ placement here, you have to be prepared not to let your life hang on your ability to keep and hang onto cash. Easy come and easy go.
